Bad Weather In My Heart

Bad Weather In My Heart

Storm was brewin', wondered what you were doing,
pulled the cellar shutter down, bolt was missing,
it flapped in the wind, sounded like a big drum,
when this was over, I hoped that you would come.

How do you feel when you think you might die,
under dark clouds swirling with an angry sky;
maybe I didn't love you as often as I should,
God made everything in a few days, said it was good.

Said my scribes will leave you fine instructions,
how to deal with storms, foolish misconceptions,
you didn't always take heed, not bothered to read,
unconcerned you destroyed me and my heart would bleed.

It was over, I clambered out over broken trees,
now I was ready to unravel all of your mysteries.
