The Balloon

The Balloon

The Balloon

Yesterday I was all alone

Hanging on a shelf

Feeling all unwanted

Sorry for myself

Today I have a special job

That I’ve been picked to do

To take a special message

Up to the sky for you

As I float I look down

At the love gathered below

To all the people that you knew

Who want to let you know

You may be up in heaven

But it doesn’t mean you’re gone

Always in their hearts and minds

Love just carries on

So here I am, full of pride

At the task I’ve been bestowed

With a happy birthday wish for you

From your loved ones down below
