BARD'S WINGS

BARD'S WINGS

BARD'S WINGS

My mind is so full of mundane things
My bardic muse is broken
I need to transcend life's petty stings
And affirm my muse is woken.

The grey is within me, I need to  climb
From  this plateau of non-event.
My desire  and need to fly with rhyme
Thwarted by wings which are spent.

I need to shake the world from my Id,
Retake the poetic shore.
I need to weave bard's wings again
And learn, once more, to soar.

Susan Birch,

Good write, My applause, My vote

The grey is within me, I need to  climb
From  this plateau of non-event.
My desire  and need to fly with rhyme
Thwarted by wings which are spent.

Thanks Georgina :)

I have been so immersed in getting my house onto the market for sale that I had almost lost the link to my muse lol. House is now on the market...2 viewings booked which looks hopeful so I'm hoping I will have time to write again now :)

Love you all on CosmoFunnel!
