Poem -
Battle Ultima Examen
Weapons poised, ready,
sharp and inky,
held steady,
Inches above the obstacle.
Not a sound.
Tension so thick
almost physical.
Friends now neglected,
enemiesย forgotten.
Backs rod straight
eyes trained down on a single foe.
Twitch of an eyebrow.
Shifting of feet.
Who would break down first?
Nervous sweat streaked down,
brains primed ready for initiation.
Heeled shoes clacked,
Ticking of six clocks,
Breaths of three hundred
All drawn in concurrently
Waiting โฆโฆ.
Waiting โฆโฆ.
Microphone switched on
Lipstick-ed mouth moved close,
โYou may begin the exam!โ

I studied Drama at uni which was great fun but as I've got on a bit I know my real love is history so why not. What's your subject?
Ah, I'm actually in my last year of high school, I plan to do Biomedical science in a few months :)ย
Well Mitsali your poetry shows great maturity in structure and flow. I think you are destined to do very well in your future studies. Biomedical science is fascinating ( as is all science ) and I follow on facebook the writings of an American doctor called Emmanuel Fombu MD who writes a lot about AI in medicine. Worth giving a like on fb.

I remember those days...
My daughter used to stress herself out so much and I asked her areย there things you know if someone randomly asked?
I said give me your study material and let's see...
I asked her random questions and out of 30 she got stuck on two and she was so nervous...
I said look on the brightside, all you have to do is Study those two and before the exam we'll do it again...
I said what did you get after the exam was over?
She said 120 points...
She said there were bonus questions...
Now, she's back in College getting a second degree...
She graduates this year...
She also works full time...
She's 28 years old...
I think she wants to be a multi millionaire...
I said why sell yourself short?
Become a multi billionaire, all you need to do is duplicate...
I'm waiting for her to ask me now what do I do?

Very interesting. Reminds me of my exam days during the HSC. It was always very intense and stressful. The amount of studying associated with it was mind draining. Awesome work ??
