Step inside my brain,

as your present is my past.

There is an explanation,

but it’s fading really fast.

In my mind I see things,

the truth’s not hard to find.

There’s a war inside my head,

and a battle in my mind.

Happy on the outside,

but your dyeing from within.

You think this might be funny,

but I will never laugh at sin.

The battle that’s in my mind,

as I write to help you out.

I pray now for an answer,

to the question that you shout.

I remember what He did for us,

when He died upon that cross.

and now the battle in my mind,

will never be a loss.
