Be a Lady, Not a Man

Be a Lady, Not a Man

They want me to be a lady, not a man.
That is something I can’t stand.
Don’t be out of control but have a plan.
Don’t sell your body, have too many babies, but get a husband.
They want women to be on the frontline, but succumb to getting designer shoes.
We are supposed to be strong, but submissive and stay in the corner without opinions or any ideas that we are given to choose.
But be clear!
The days of the housewife and the stay-at-home woman are long gone.
Women are now feminists in terms of equal rights and men and women are supposed to get along.
We still have a long way to go.
Women are still seen as domesticated and still seen as nothing but a garden hoe.

How are we supposed to get passed the stereotypes of what women are given to be?
Act like a lady and don’t be a man; that’s like saying honey is created from men when the real source is the busy bumblebee.
