Awkward Glances
We breathe as one in a troublesome house.
Talking appears to be the easy way out.
Like an aging couple, with the crazy spouse.
In a confined space, I just want to shout!
The shadow of his body brings me shame.
His detached face sends painful memories.
I am like the person in video games;
His stares take complete control over me.
Our close friendship fell with sudden contact.
Recollected pain leaves marks in my mind.
All I seem to recall is the swift “smack”.
The horrible thoughts are on rewind.
 I hope awkward glances will disappear.
To come back to the bond, I miss so dear.

Aww thank you! And will do.
A beautifully sad work Renee. Loved reading this which is why I have pinned it- really expressive and moving piece.
