Sonnets

Sonnets have rhythm and steady percussion.
Sonnets are hard to dismiss and forget.
They lead a class with full of discussion.
Sonnets are the fuel, writing is the jet.
Sometimes they are hard to write, other times easy.
What you don't understand, is writing is life.
Without it my mind would become queasy.
I know what I'm writing sounds really tight.
Straying from talking about sonnets and rhythm;
I'll talk about why I love writing so much.
Metaphors, similes and synonyms.
They sound good and they have the Midas touch.

Don't ever stray from my writing today or this year.
Sonnets have the right voice and the right ear.
