Beautiful Earth

Beautiful Earth

Oh beautiful Earth
Where the sun shines bright
And the children play, day and night
Maybe live here until the end of time
Oh beautiful Earth

Far above us lies the sky
Where the souls of our loved ones said their last goodbyes
And below us lays the sea
Full of wonders to be seen

This is where we dance under the stars
And the lightning fills the sky
This is where the trees grow
And the waves drum on the shore

This is where the  wind blows and the cave echoes
Where the birds fly and the sad ones  cry
Where the sunset glows in the midst of it all
Where  the ants crawl when the night falls

Oh beautiful Earth
Where the sun shines bright
And the children play, day and night
Maybe live here until the end of time
Oh beautiful Earth

Where once heaven turns to  hell
All because of the poisonous smells
Pollution invading our skies
And plastic killing wonders under our eyes

Oh beautiful Earth
Where we age as fast as the changing weather
Where the selfish and the selfless die together
Where the poor and the rich laugh and cry
Where the black and the white taste and feel

Oh beautiful Earth
Why are children still hungry?
Why are we always in such a hurry?
Why are guns still held and bombs still thrown?
Why are tears shed and words left unsaid?

Oh beautiful Earth
Where the sun shines bright
And the children play, day and night
Maybe live here until the end of time
Oh beautiful Earth

This is where we were born
And where we will die
This is where we smiled, laughed and cried
Under the same sky and above the same sea
Oh beautiful Earth

Please stay beautiful for me
