Crying for Palestine
Free Palestine
The small girl, crying in the meadow.Â
Crying for her murdered father and her injured brother
Crying for her depressed mother and her hungry sister
Crying for her stolen house and the burned olive trees
Crying for the sorrow, the fear, and the tears
Crying for the cold children and the thirsty civilians
Crying for her destroyed home
Crying for her forgotten laugh and smile
The small girl, crying in the meadowÂ
Crying for the occupation and the war
Crying for what was once hers
Crying for what is thought to be theirsÂ
Crying for PalestineÂ

I think this is most worthy of 5 stars. The whole sorry story needs to be properly settled forever and I would like to see Palestine given back to the Palestinians... I know it won't be easy and I know I am not an international political know it all... But I am human and it seems to me that an injustice should be put right. Great poem x
