Poem -

Because the night

Cracked fuschia nails
On taloned, clawed
Fingers rake flesh
Straining against cloth and time
Moves with urgency
For skin on skin
Through the dark as
Searching nocturnal beasts
Through heartland of living
Breathing landscape
Discarded clothes form mountain peak
As so many littered green
And pleasant lands
Strong arms grasping back
Sinews straining
With heaving emotive potency
Breaking flesh with pleasure
Groan into the night
As the mating call of wild beasts
Soft wet humanity
Aches and moans for the building
Of climacticall relief
Bodies twist and entwine
Cronenbergian creation
Of dreams and nightmares
Convergence in shared unity
For the expectation of singular pleasure
Delicate touch of feather makes way
For heavy handed pull of hair
And gasps of air
Belonging to the night as much as each other
Universally Central for brief moments of time
Fluidity of movement
Gives way to fluid of body
As one, sweat mixing with ejaculate
Marking each beast and beauty
To the moment of living within life
Experience peaked
Connection reached
Worn and breathless
Empty and full
In love as in death
In pleasure as in pain
