Poem -

Bedeviled

Bedeviled

Once upon a midnight keep,
Satan festers in stasis sleep.
Grim retired hourglass sand,
Immortality grasped by fleshy hand.

Humanity prayed for blissful peace,
Alas, disquietude cannot cease.
Man with greed for infinite glory,
Craved bloodstain on palms cast gory.

Superiority complex how mighty do fall,
Tranquility tis unfelt in hearts of all.
Stardust dims, piss poor out of luck,
Waxen orb phases, Moonstruck.

Merciful angels won't shed a tear,
Humanity longs to disappear.
From out of darkness a violent scream,
Startles Satan from sabbatical dream.

Bid mortals come take fall
Awaited sight genesis crawl
So wicked to very bone,
Chortles at mortal dethrone.

Hi Lisa...I think in very creative original wording, you portrayed man's fall from grace, the entrance of Satan into this system, and the long haul of suffering sense...At least I know there will be an end someday to his prowl and scowl of humanity...lolΒ  I love the choice words in this....Inspiring. Thank you for sharin your talentsΒ  Β  Pinned, xoΒ

"From out of darkness a violent scream,
Startles Satan from
sabbatical dream."
Exceptional as always.

I once had a run in with the one who shall not be named, he drove me insane, took over my thoughts and nearly broke me.

Very intriguing poem Lisa.
