BEHIND THE VEIL
Behind the veil lies a girl I love.Β When she writes her sweet prose to me I feel
the soft sensation of her affection, the warm radiance that springs from her heart,
a profound beauty that rests within her soul.
I can't help myself;
I love this girl.
I take a deep hard look into the blackness trying desperately to spot her,
to reach out and pull her toward me,
but she always eludes my searching eyes.
She is the ghost of my dreams.
And I love her anyway.
One day I hope she will pull back the veil and expose her true beauty to me.
She will shine and my breath will suddenly be taken away.
And then there will be magic.
