Bendability

Some days are like a bowl of cherries

Other days are like the pits

Today started out like a winner for sure

Then quickly turned ugly bit by bit

Frustration is surely part of the scene

As we age, we are much less tolerant

Set in our ways, we are unable to bend

Probably need a brain transplant

Tomorrow is always another day

With its own set of highs and lows

It's own set of frustrations and triumphs

Not everything is in our control

Bendability is an excellent word

It describes what I'm really trying to say

To allow for things out of our control

And still enjoy this game we play

Bottom line is accept life as it comes

Each day is another day blessed

As we travel along life's bumpy road

To the end of the trail in life's quest
