Beneath the concrete sky

Beneath the concrete sky

Beneath the concrete sky,
where whispers of steel and glass
intertwine with the sighs of the city,
               we walk -
in the shadows of towering monoliths,
giants rooted in ambition and stone.
We are the dreamers,
crafting our existence in the spaces between,
finding beauty in the cracks of the sidewalk,
where nature reclaims its place -
                    a dandelion sprouting,
                         defiant against the grey.
Beneath the concrete sky,
we live, we breathe, we create,
          our spirits unyielding,
as we dance to the rhythm of the city's heart,
                    beating beneath our feet.
