Berating populism

Berating populism

Please just end this ubiquitous noise
the one that sleeps but will not die
too quick to judge amongst the lies
suckling on populist bosomĀ

Terrible beauty that's reborn
as self entitled look for scorn
the fleece of victimhood is worn
within the populist gaze

Rewriting what to say
opposing view must go away
perpetually offended here to stay
within the populist realm

Impetuous souls and sinister tides
seek to destroy alternate sides
the cowardly chief quickly hides
behind the populist guise

Myopia amongst the masses
spinning monologue in school classes
all is well in rose tint glasses
shadowed by the populist giant

Please just end this immortal folly
the one that keeps the fool so jolly
and docile minds with shopping trolleys
all numbed by populist beat.
