Bewilderment

Bewilderment

BewilderedĀ
I sit...
Ā
DistilledĀ Ā
In chilled contemplationĀ

Which binds my soulĀ
To a gaping hole -
Of the unknownĀ

I feel my heart raceĀ
As it sets chaseĀ
To erase my doubtsĀ
It shouts!

Whilst blood rushes round my bonesĀ
Begging my body to feelĀ
Deal with what this world portrays to be realĀ

Yet how I wish I could stealĀ
A moment with youĀ
You whoā€™s star shines so true
Above the blanketĀ
Where dreams brewĀ

How I long to escapeĀ
This agonising waitĀ
I pledge to be there at your gateĀ
To state with open armsĀ
How IĀ Ā miss your doting charmsĀ
