Bewilderment

Bewildered 
I sit...
 
Distilled  
In chilled contemplation 

Which binds my soul 
To a gaping hole -
Of the unknown 

I feel my heart race 
As it sets chase 
To erase my doubts 
It shouts!

Whilst blood rushes round my bones 
Begging my body to feel 
Deal with what this world portrays to be real 

Yet how I wish I could steal 
A moment with you 
You who’s star shines so true
Above the blanket 
Where dreams brew 

How I long to escape 
This agonising wait 
I pledge to be there at your gate 
To state with open arms 
How I  miss your doting charms
