Joe Biden, you’re a genius, the way you handled your campaign;
You let the longshots pitch their products, on their parades, you did not rain!
You’d stayed far out in the background, no TV ads had your face;
Each one thinking they had a real chance, to win the Democratic race!

But with the best of perfect timing, you appeared out of the blue;
Quashing all those rookie hopefuls, the votes cast most for you!
I knew a long, long time ago, you would be our candidate;
To challenge Trump into a chess match, and hand him a checkmate!

Four years of agony will soon end, for on that November day;
A landslide vote of confidence, your Country will cast your way!
The Democracy will ring out again, Trump’s reign of terror at an end;
Your wise council will finally save us, all his damage you’ll amend!
