Bipolar

Scorching heat that batters,
Giving no break or rest.
A thousand tidal waves,
Drowning beneath their crests.
Chains bind you to the sea,
As you struggle to grasp one breathe.
Split-second, you’re left in the dust,
In heat, waiting for death.
You change so very quickly,
I always feel alone,
Keeping quiet, never knowing what
You’ll be like when we get home.
Will you be a lonesome desert,
Where you forget your daughter’s name.
Or will you be a raging storm,
That not heck itself can tame.
A wounded man that needs your help,
A CEO that is stick straight.
You change, you smile, never sorry,
I think that it’s too late.
Don’t you see what you’ve done.
I’ve never not been scared.
You say you’re doing better.
I ever only wanted you to care.
