Blind Pain

Blind Pain

Closing my eyes to the pain,
Locking it up as with chains,
Not facing my wounds within,
And hiding just to where it begins.

It's too hard to face this alone,
These demons I've held so close,
Those which have occupied inside,
The beast that always then terrorize.

Holding on is just too much,
A bruise not wanting to be touched,
But knowing I need to now identify,
As this is affecting my entire life.

I call on Jesus to help me through,
Knowing He's the one to turn to,
And then faithful and true He'll be,
Healing those places none can see.
