Blink Of An Eye !
Dust scattered to the wind is what we'll be ?
Our brief lives just a sorrow tinged memory ?
Lost to the overwhelming vastness of space ?
With no more challenges of any kind to face ?

Stars, which shone brightly, ceasing to exist ?
Dark re-establishing itself, to ask are we missed ?
Time passing in what seems a blink of an eye,
Makes you consider what could be after we die ?
...............................................................
Do you believe in a reason for why we are here ?
Or do you need evidence of an afterlife to appear ?
Do you have faith life has a purpose or do you not ?
One day, everyone comes to appreciate our lot !

The nature of existence can be wondered about
But there is a truth, which no one can ever doubt !
Death can happen at any time, being so unforgiving
It is in your interest to make the very best of living !!!

I wrote this without giving anyone my viewpoint which I have done on numerous occasion.
This is solely about making the reader try to come to a resolution of what our existence is in their own mind ! It is just raising thought on who we are, our purpose and whether there is an afterlife in those who read it. I felt it would be different for me to just ask questions for a change !!! :)
In a way the poem makes the point that without faith and belief life does seem empty and devoid of purpose ! You are just here and then you end. You have faith so the poem seems empty but for those yet to find it this I hope makes them think about what it means to have it !
