Blocked Road

Here I stand ,at a blocked road.
Not able to go forward, nor able to go back.
Just stuck in-between, stood still.
My feet solid to the ground, stuck deep in mud.

The feeling in my soul is to move,
but my brain won’t let me.
It feels like it too has stopped moving,
just living but not alive.

My heart is the only thing that can feel anything,
Its only love keeps me living.
The thing that makes me feel I belong,
I belong in this world with purpose.

Searching for answers,
wishing I was like others.
They seem to have the answers,
answers to the questions of humanity
and the beauty it beholds.

Maybe I was just born this way, unlovable,
unstable, unsure, unforgettable.
Maybe unnecessary to many,
but also special to some.

My pain and experienced sorrow,
now a part of my being.
Forever playing a part in blocking this road,
more and more it now seems.

Life I so beautiful, so special.
So much to experience and behold.
So much to conquer and create.

Your chance to leave a footprint, in time forever.
To show that one time, you were special enough.
No boundaries or barriers,
special enough to just be you unconditionally loved and remembered.

The feeling of emptiness, the worst part.
Trying to understand, what is it all about.
What were we meant to be?
Before the world got a hold of us,
conditioning our souls from the day we are born.

Will I ever know the answers, to the questions
that I don't even know the questions
to get the answers?
Crazy as that sounds, that is my life.

Struggling to get to that place,
That satisfaction of the feeling of belonging.
Not needing, not wanting just at peace.
Soul, mind and heart all working together
in harmony.

An inner peace, a purpose.
A way to leave behind that footprint.
Forever there, never forgotten.
Only then is it all worth it.
