Hear the Silence

Mother Nature
Hear the silence, quiet but still full of sound.
The sounds of the waves, crashing against the rocks.
The sound of the wind blowing through me, past my ears.
My eyes water, tears streaming down my cheeks.
The calmness of it all, but still the chatter,
The chatter in my brain.
The self, you who is wired to work but with masking tape.
Taping together the broken damaged pieces.
Those pieces that maybe broken forever.
As I watch the birds gliding through the sky, no need to use their wings.
So assured that the wind will be all they need to keep them flying high
Secure enough to know they will be safe, free enough to be able to trust.
The waves crashing gently against the rocks below, not having to move much.
Knowing that the surrounding body of water is all they need to stay alive.
Always moving, always free. Always with that security.
Knowing its surrounded with the same exact expectations,
Every wave equal to each other, helping in the exact same way ,no divide.
If only living as human beings was like nature.
Maybe nature is what it’s all about? , Maybe life is just getting us ready.
Ready to embrace what we truly are, how great we can be.
Mother nature will welcome us with open arms,
And take who we are a single soul without prejudice.
