THE BLUE HOUR (Huitain Form)

THE BLUE HOUR (Huitain Form)

Tis the blue hour, time for love

Twilight blooms softly as we lie

Within our sylvan secret grove

Watching the day melting the sky

Enraptured by our own sweet sighs

Upon my heart your face impressed

Forever there in my mind’s eye

This hour and your hand’s caress

Williamsji!  The Huitain is a Spanish poetry form…it consists of 8 verse lines (octet), 8 sylablles in each line and has a set rhyme pattern of ababbcbc.  You might also wish to try the "Cinquain" which is also another short Spanish form

Thank you for reading this piece.
