Blue Mountains
School Poems - Part 1
The clouds break, sunlight glimmers, through
Revelling the spectacular view
Bare granite cliffs stand tall and proud
Carved out of rock and shaped by the wind
Gallons of water is rushing in the distance
Cutting through the rainforest with fearsome persistence
Bellow, infinite valleys of green
Millions of Trees soaking up the sunlight
Down there vegetation runs free and wild
Untamed, competitive, thirsting for survival
Up here you feel tiny
Like an ant in a field of grass
The ground is littered with paths and trails
Twisting and turning like a snake
Forrest birds can be seen flying from tree to tree
Complex ecosystem, barren yet full of life
To my left 3 points stand higher than the rest
Like fingers of a giant hand
The 3 Sisters standing straight
The sun gleams on them and makes them shine
I have never been to a place quite like it
I would love to go back there I must admit
Blue Mountains
