Body of Water

Body of Water

We're all just bodies of water
How can we be so cruel to one another?
Waters are fierce and want to be on top by toppling over the other small ripples that meet the sand
70% of me is being crashed into by a wave that has now engulfed me
70% of me is going in a different direction than the other 30%
Tears stream down my face as I stare at my own reflection as it begins to ripple away right in front of my blue eyes
And now I shall face an eternal sleep in this here ocean
An eternal sleep that will bring me bliss and rest for the wicked finally
My words slip away as my skin touches the cold touch of the water bringing solidarity and comfort
In my final moments of being only 70% of water a warm hand touches mine bringing hope to my final moments
But alas, I fall as death greets me with a white wave claiming my body toward the Heavens.
we're all just bodies of water.
