Mute

Mute

I hear you.
I see you.
I am you.
Peace fills my eardrums every second of a day.
Every fraction of a second, war fills yours.
Imagine being in my shoes and seeing from the outside looking in.
People are habitual creatures
Molded into one way of life.
This is my life.
Can you hear me?
Can you see me?
Can you understand me?
I can hear you.
I can see you.
I can understand you.
Are we indifferent?
Do we see the world the same?
Perhaps that answer is one that will never be found.
A world full of war is now gone to me.
I hear you.
