Remigio

The woods rush past him as he tries to make it to the end of the game.
Snap. Snap. Snap. The tree branches make that noise due to his and the stranger's weight.
Remigio looks back and hears the safety go off. The stranger prepares to aim.
Almost there, but then the crow comes. The crow always comes when death is near.
Remigio sends his last wish to keep his daughter safe. The poor beautiful dame.
The gunman stood his ground and as did Remigio. He remained stoic and faced the man.
Click. Click. The man stopped. Remigio looked at him and realized it was a boy. What a shame?
Death stops for no one. Not even for a man and his now orphaned child. The bullet fly's out. The bullet clips his newfound angel wings and he meets his end. The boy doesn't take the blame.
Remigio remained there on the cold ground and his ghostly body had a set of wings to face what he was scared to face before.
