Breaking free

~~At times life suffocates me
 How can I continue to agonize
 I need to break free of these chains
 That bind me and escape this prison I built

 To be able to liberate my mind
 From self-inflicted boundaries
 Overcome the desires, and obligations
 Of everyone around me
 To find my true self

 From lies and deception
 I've been led astray
 To conquer my fears
 I need to see what endeavors life brings

 A tormented past
 To a desire to start anew

 In order to become the person I yearn to be
