My Inner Self
Solicitous
Somber, melancholy moods decay the soul
Overcome with affliction
Longing simply to be wanted
I find myself alone in silence
Conflict never ceasing even a moment
Taunted by my own loneliness
Ingenuous memories always nagging
Overwhelmed by past mistakes
Unnoticed by those around
Struggling to distinguish true existence from illusion
