Breaking Up
 
Breaking up is not that hard to do
When he had a heart that wasn’t true
 
He called you a loser to your face
I think that’s a bloody disgrace
 
Don’t allow your heart to become sore
Could you really have put up with anymore?
 
He just thought you were easy to tame
Don’t get caught up in his reckless game
 
Do you remember feeling so low?
As his words struck another blow
 
Your best interests are not what he has in mind
He can be so cold and calculating, cruel and unkind
 
And now he will be haunted by your ghost
Go gather all of the things that mean the most
 
He is like a wicked kind that rules from his throne
Aren’t you glad you have a house and home?
 
It’s been said to not cast pearls before swine
Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and you’ll be fine
 
You have performed so many caring selfless acts
Just to become victim to another one of his attacks
 
And now he says that he wants to break up with you
You’ve still got so much to gain and nothing left to prove
 
In the midst of chaos he’s decided to leave
Give your mind, body and soul time to grieve
 
    Do you really want to be with him till the end of the road?
Why should you have to carry his ever burdensome load?
 
Life is meant to be a journey to places near and afar
Come on make a wish upon the first falling star
 
Life is nothing but a long and winding path
If you ever get lost I’ll help you find your way back
