Breathe
Whether you’re sitting on a mountain ,or a rock down by the sea,Â
Or on a grassy hilltop, looking down between the trees
Or even on a chair, in a garden all alone,
Or on a comfy sofa, in your living room at home
Sometimes things will wake you, from the slumber that is stress
Some things lift your head up, take your mind out of the mess
Like rays of light that dance, off of the leaves, the grass , the seasÂ
A birds first morning song, drifting softly on the breeze
The blossoms of the flowers, giggles from a school
Little fishes splashing, catching flies above a pool
All these things remind you, that summers on its way,
Better things are coming, there’s always brighter days
Watch that gorgeous sunrise, take that stroll along the beach,
Wander through the countryside, bite into a peachÂ
We all need to take a moment, to collect our thoughts and feel the calm
We need to look around us, be it city, town, or farm
We need to feel the beauty, just stop and take a lookÂ
If only to remind us, life’s a yet unwritten book ?

This is friggin' amazingly insightful!!... one can tell that the author has VERY sharp and intuitive perceptive abilities.... for it is most certainly the kind of poem that gets into the minds eye of the reader...... reorganizing words that should have been written many years ago...... with the kind of profundity deserving of many-an-author's introspection and many a publishers open eye for potential!!...... an absolutely PERFECT début piece!!.......ALL STARS!! & PINNED!!........ bravo!...... and.......WELCOME to COSMO! VICKI!.........LOVE & ROCKETS!!..........T xo. : )
Thank you very much. I have never attempted poetry and the feedback has been wonderful. The words often stay put in my mind and never make it to any kind of platform. I really appreciate the kind words.Â
