Breathe

Breathe

A breath...inhale, exhale
It's as fast as a speeding train
and yet again
like falling rain,

It's an odor, sweet and pure
or a pungent punch
depending on what
you had for lunch!

we take it for granted
About 12 breaths a minute
It's a normal response
if you want to stay in it,

We do it so lightly
it's a long after thought
when we're so close to dying
it's a battle we fought,

So let's take our every breath
from morning to eve
to keep us alive
we all need to breathe...

Hi Faith, I enjoyed the flow to this write and the message it holds is wonderful and really does make you realise how it all hangs on that breath

Thanks so much for sharing
