BRILLIANT
Everything in place, we're all ready to go,
that's what they told me but you're too slow;
can't keep up with me, make allowance for dozy,
it's those regressive genes from your history.
Surrounded by uni grads, ended up one of the lads,
a penchant for trivia, preoccupied by passing fads;
they said I was brilliant, but I didn't really think so,
that's what they told me but you're too slow.
I won competitions, check Jan. 20, finesse aplenty,
what's in your locker or does it remain empty?
In the old days, I won a design award, rampant,
it was unfortunate that I was the only entrant.
I carry you along, all those arrows in my bow,
that's what they told me but you're too slow.
