Poem -

Broken

A heavy hand on my chest
Pushing against my heart
Crushing, suffocating, burning
It’s killing me at best

A wall in the middle of my path
Keeping me from moving forward
Blocking, preventing, hindering
But still I just ignore it and laugh

A cage inside my head
Trapping me in my thoughts
Imprisoning, restraining, confining
It’s like I’m someone else instead

A rope around my neck
Keeping me from breathing
Choking, gasping, wheezing
It’s left my life a wreck
