BROKEN FAMILY CHAINS

The links of our chain have been broken
And someone was called from this earth
Their physical body no longer remains
Now a headstone tells of their death and their birth

A drunk driver has changed many courses
And caused upset through the balance of time
Somewhere down a long, darkened road one night
A drunk driver drove and committed a terrible crime

You cannot turn back the clock on the terror
That one must eventually face
And you will never erase all the damage done
Because a person that dies cannot be replaced

The family chain is broken still
A new day will bring a time to think
And one day in the near future time heals the heart
God will give you faith and you will repair the link…
