Poem -
Broken Hearted
fair game is the heart standing alone
like a dog standing still waiting for a bone
lost like a cat locked out for the night
begging at the door but losing the fight
should I give up this time and curl in the corner
or hope and pray like a broken hearted mourner
The heart is easy prey like a mouse to a cat
feeling the claws dig in for that last tiny gasp
we all go through this, I know it is true
it's always harder when it's me rather than you
selfish I know, that is the design
life is difficult for the humankind
