BROKEN HEARTS CAN BE MENDED

BROKEN HEARTS CAN BE MENDED

YOU SEE THEM EVERY DAY,
ON THE BUS, OR ON THE TRAIN,
THEY PASS YOUR WAY,
SOME WITH A SMILE,
OR A STAUNCHED  FACE.

MEN AND WOMEN OF ALL AGES,
GOING ABOUT THEIR DAY,
PRETENDING TO BE HAPPY,
WHILE THE REAL DEAL
IS CONCEALED,
BENEATH WHAT THEY REVEAL.

LONELINESS, SADNESS, AND GLOOM,
HEARTS ONCE LOVED,
VACATED,
AND LEFT LIKE AN EMPTY ROOM.

MEN AND WOMEN, WITH BROKEN HEARTS,
MASQUERADING, AS THOUGH ALL IS WELL,
WHEN THEY ARE EMOTIONALLY TORMENTED,
AND EXPERIENCING TOTAL HELL.

HOW DO YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART,
ONE THAT HAS BEEN TORN APART.

YOU TAKE A CHANCE, A LEAP OF FAITH,
YOU HOPE AND PRAY,
FOR THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE TO COME ALONG,
YOUR GOD GIVEN SOULMATE.

BROKEN HEARTS CAN BE MENDED.

WILFORD BARKER.

Being Me

Tis true, Wilford, lots of broken hearts around us. You've expressed the heartbreak that lies all beautifully x

People are just afraid to unmask their feelings.

Darned right Wilford in what you have expressed here and well done for doing so.
And your final closing lines are uplifting, brimming with hope and positivity.
Full honours and richly deserved here.
Great message and well written poem and enjoyed reading :)
