~Broken Soul~

Soft is the rain it gently falls 

Upon the soft field's of green 

Like tears that fall off the 

Cheeks of a broken soul 

That carries a pain so deep 

It tears her apart inside 

Her soul silently weeps 

For the solitude she seeks 

To run and hide away from 

Her brutal past and face her demons 

That she has to battle inside her head 

That suffocates her drowning her 

In her own deep dark pool of despair 

And sorrow crushing and paralyzing her 

Leaving her emotionally crippled 

In an agonizing weakness 

That breaks the soul 

Fighting desperately to breathe 

Fighting to push back the tears 

From the sadness through the years 

All her pain, all her strife and an aching heart 

That struggles to beat from breaking 

Created by damaging words that rips open 

The heart piece by piece gradually being picked apart 

The broken become numb in life 

She carries the wounds and scars 

Pain and sadness all through her life 

It shows the years through the tears in her eyes.
