Built to last ❤️

Built to last ❤️

Wow Thank you Facebook for this lovely surprise

A remarkable old photograph of my Fathers Father, I can hardly believe my eyes

I have never, ever seen him in my entire life

Infact I do not know what my Grandmother looked like, his lovely little wife..
                                ~
But one of my brothers commented on it so this caught my beady eye

And I am so pleased I noticed this I cannot tell a lie

Eeh mind you my Grandad was the double of my Dad

It’s such an awful shame I never got to see him or my Grandma, indeed this is sad..
                               ~
This picture was taken in the 1920’s,  from Oh so long ago

Yet it is in absolutely mint condition so you would never know

Cameras must have been the bees knees back in those roaring twenties days

But then again things were built made to last back then and much better in Oh so many ways...

Being Me

That is one brilliant photograph! There's so much going on in it. The baby looks as though he(or she) was being a bit fidgety. The boy looks as though he is thinking "Do we have to do this? Hurry up." And even the cats don't want to miss out on anything. Your poem does perfect justice to this snapshot in time. Pinned x

Wonderful uplifting poem and that photo must be a more than wonderful piece of history to now cherish and hold on to.
A real family treasure you have shared here and good luck to you Jill, for you seem over the moon with it and rightfully and deservingly so.
And it couldn't happen to more generous person.
Thanks for sharing and it's great to see.
