Bullying Awareness

Like a knife, cutting into my fragile shell, they hit me,
Pure hate carried by the poison from their tongues.
Like a venemous snake they filled me with their diseases
as they doused me with evil and set fire to their wrongs.
Like vultures they preyed upon my carcus,
Their hateful eyes were burdens to my soul,
Carried long through years of deep resentment
and Feeding from the silence that i told.
Like salt into my wounds, the loathing stung me,
Bore down like shackles to my dreams,
Held fast and destroying all my freedom.
I could barely grasp my life and all its means.
Shot down with words fired from a rifle.
Buried deep by monsters that i feared.
Unable to break free and reach the surface.
Slowly drowning with no raft to float on tears.
Then like an angel to my hell my voice broke through it,
beating down these demons that I'd feared.
I found the strength to swim above emotions,
and i stood up tall and strong and then they fled
The only way in which to surface from the darkness,
to shine light on who you are and to stand strong
Is to believe yourself and shout out loudly
And to tell them that you know that you belong.
Don't be beaten by a club of their frustrations.
Don't let their words and hatred break your heart,
For Every breath of air you take, it bears more meaning
than the beasts that try to pull your world apart.
