Bump in the night

When you know its time for bed,
get ready to rest your sleepy head,
but don't forget to leave your nightlight on child.

For when the darkness comes,
all kinds of creatures come for fun.
But don't worry my little one,
they know if you were to wake,
to hide back into their place, but I know they'd much rather you join in to celebrate.

So let me tell you this;
the elves live in the tree's, fairies with the bee's,
but monsters really don't exist, though some do have big teeth,
long claws that reach their knees,
but most of all, they all have furry feet.

Just remember this my child,
you should never be afraid, for when the night does come again
you'll know that you'll be safe,
for they'll protect you from any harm that comes your way.
