Burdened

Burdened

I found myself laying and feeling depressed,
Discouraged and anxious with no sign of rest.
Overwhelmed by my thoughts of the fears and the doubts,
The voice that could lead me was slowly drowned out.

Burdened with things that I couldn't just change,
I sat and I grumbled and only complained.
Mumbling words how my life wasn't fair,
With resentments and sorrows that led to despair.

Wisdom came calling and showed me the way,
The answer to all this was bow down and pray.
Reminding me He was the one that's in charge,
The answer I needed to hear all along.
