But I Loved You Once

But I Loved You Once

We awoke to many suns
And dreamed for many moons
We thought we would last forever
I guess forever, came to soon
(But I Loved You Once)

We shared laughs and anger
And treasured our smiles our tears
I held you when you were cold
I no longer look to the skies, no point to persevere
(But I Love You Once)

Waking up to you in my arms
Was like heaven in my hands
But gone, gone in thin air
Weakening this heart broken man
(But I Loved You Once)

But when you left
My soul was soon to follow
Traces of blood from my heart
This once full vessel is now an empty hollow
(But I Loved You Once)...
