Butterflies

I once was an insignificant child

Stuck in a small green shell- me

Now Iā€™m a butterfly flying free

But nobody wants me free

Caught by a net and put in a cage

Left bruised and alone and afraid

Criticized for being me

I want my small green shell back

I want to be free to be me
