Butterfly fades

Where has the butterfly flown
The darkness has crept back in
Her colours now faded in the mist
that covers the world, a world full of sin
Depravity seeks new victims
Poverty seeks strength in numbers
All evils now gain power
As mother earth slumbers
Fish no longer swim carefree
Birds only sing as a warning
No one cares about the planet anymore
We are killing her with global warming
Polar bears have nowhere to go
They have become the homeless
Their babies dying as food is scarce
You can almost taste the hopelessness
Humanity = depravity
The whole world is eroding
Decaying, rotting, left here to die
Welcome to reality
You say there is no such place as hell
I'd agree, but we are living in it
Breath it in, choke on the fumes
As we breathe and breed in our own cesspit
We have killed ourselves
A mass suicide that no one instigated
There is no way out, no eject button
You, your world, your life, you have wasted.
