Buy Local They Say

My Over-Under Washer-Dryer
breaks down and I need 
a new one in
July of 2017.

I look at some of the 
Big Box Stores that sell
that stuff on the internet.

I also call a local business 
in town and tell them
I want to purchase the 
product them.

I stop by the store,
pick out the product
and when I pull out my
credit card for the purchase,
she says, 

"My boss does not allow 
us to use cards that use 
bonus points on them.
The cost us too much in
interest."

I say, "It is the only card
I have, and I don't have the 
cash to buy the $1200 item."

The next day she calls back,
"My boss said you can use
your credit card."

I say, "I wanted
to buy local,  BUT,
you would not
accept my card,
but Home Depot did.
Sorry."

I tried, 
but local
did not
work with 
me this
day.

Sigh.
