Cage Of Glass

Cage Of Glass

I'm in a cage of glass.
There's people walking around and by.
I'm banging on the walls as they pass.
I feel like I'm suffocating and I might die.
At the bottom being pumped in is gas.
My knuckles are bleeding and it's not cracking no matter how hard I try.
Slowly missing small things like the smell of fresh cut grass.
The thought of dying makes me want to cry.
When before I would smile when I thought of death.
Funny how when the realization of looking the Grim Reaper in the eyes makes you not want to say bye.
Oh how I wish I get a second chance and not this being my last breath.
I'm screaming for help and they turn away.
Suddenly it finally cracks.
Someone broke it but my vision turns to grey.
Even when I went unconscious they didn't turn their backs.
They picked me up and helped.
Even though my body relaxed and collapsed.
They got me out of my cage of glass.
When nobody else decided to react.
