Calm After the Storm

I am dark clouds

     hiding the sunshine from the people in my world, but only to make them appreciate it a little more. Only to keep their worlds from burning to hell... like mine did 

I am rain 

     making the sky cry and infecting those around me by creating a gloomy day, but only to keep my roots alive. Only to give myself the water I need to live... like you couldn't 

I am wind

     invisibly guiding things to places they don't know they need to go and sometimes creating disaster, but only to keep things fresh. Only to help myself expand my horizons and explore... like I couldn't with you 

I am hail

     expressing my anger and sadness through pieces of the sky falling, not meaning to hurt others, but only to release what I have bottled up. Only to free my feelings... like you never allowed 

I am thunder

     causing loud, interrupting disturbances in lives of those who are oblivious, but only to make my pain known. Only to show them that someone out there is hurting and needs them... like you never saw

I am lightening

     illuminating the sky with my pain and heartache, but only to let it be seen. Only to let people know that they are not alone... like you made me feel

I am a storm

     never understood or appreciated and seen as only a burden, but only because I need to express myself. Only because I need to feel okay... like you didn't allow me to 

And you?

You are the calm 

     feeling only content and happiness within yourself and your life, but only after you've ripped a world apart. Only after you've destroyed things... like me
