Poem -

CAN YOU?

If you could steal a star
Hide it in a safe place
Where it glittered for you alone
A most precious jewel
In its own private tomb
Would you?

And if you could ride a rainbow
With abandoned glee
It's glorious hues
Absorbed only by thee
Leaving it colourless
Could you?

And if you could float on a cloud
Interfere with the weather
Aware it might cause
A downpour
Forever
Should you?

And if I ask you to forgive me
Can you?

A Lonely Journey

Absolutely, Marion.
You had me at 'If'.
Beautiful, regretful, wondrous writing, Marion.
You're such a great writer. The pain within the lines is tangible.
Really loved that!
